Sudan`s western state of Darfur has been ravaged by a conflict which began in early 2003.  Four years on the fighting shows no sign of ending in spite of attempts at making peace between the warring factions.

Those who have survived from the attacks have fled for safety to crowded camps where they now live in makeshift shelters in constant fear of further violence. In addition to this food and adequate shelter is in very short supply. Sudan Facts:

Four million people in Darfur two-thirds of the population are dependent on humanitarian aid for their survival.

More than two million people nearly one in three of Darfur’s population have been forced to flee for their lives into camps. Approximately 107,000 civilians were newly displaced within 3 months of this New Year.

Immediate emergency relief:

Human Appeal are working in the conflict torn area of Darfur providing urgently needed emergency relief. We are distributing basic necessities such as food blankets and mosquito nets protecting them from the natural elements and deadly diseases.
